Women with ADD need to realize that they are not the only ones. Adult ADD isn't understood by doctors, who are typically looking for signs that are more typical of boys and their behavior. In addition, hormonal changes such as those experienced during puberty, PMS and perimenopausal changes can mask or exacerbate ADD.
